Getting creative

Tonight I signed up for an online course at Baltimore City Community College called Writeriffic. It is described thusly: "In the next few weeks, you'll quickly put to use the tools published writers utilize for novels, memoirs, short stories or articles. If you've ever dreamed of hearing your writer's voice and writing what's in your heart and head, this class will make it happen." It starts April 18, lasts for six weeks and costs $89. I figure for that little money and that short a time, I can't go wrong. If I like the course and do well, I'll take "Write Your Life Story" in June and "Write Like a Pro" later.

I've been so bored that I'm excited to be doing something creative and improve my writing, to boot.

Spring-like weather

The temperature in Charm City got into the 60s over the weekend, so I did a little surveying and cleaning up in the yard. A few crocuses have bloomed; I planted two dozen; I more will appear. Tulips are sprouting nicely; I hope to have a bumper crop.

The neighbors' son cut up and removed the dead dogwood that my brother and a friend felled in the winter. I still need to suck up the leaves that I didn't around around to removing in the fall.

My brother and SIL were in town over the weekend. We had a wonderful meal at David Craig in Bethesda.
